Epsilon Beta Chapter 2 Kristin Pribble Golliher '02 Credits Kappa for Successful Career K ristin Pribble Golliher '02 has always been a go-getter. As an early high school graduate, she was ready to hit the ground running in college (to her mom's hesitation). Fortunately, a young woman from her hometown was attending CSU, so their moms made an introduction. "When I started classes in January of 2002, Caylyn Spear '00 (later my big sis) took me under her wing and introduced me to the wonderful women of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I waited for the fall semester to go through recruitment, and even though I toured other chapters, I knew in my heart Kappa was the one for me." As an Epsilon Beta member, Kristin had the privilege of living with women who shared similar passions—they were focused on their schoolwork, future careers, and genuinely helped each other realize their dreams. "College is such a tricky time in life, and my Kappa sisters became my family; we looked out for each other and we made unbelievable memories. I always felt a sense of pride walking around campus with my Kappa letters. We had the most beautiful house and the most amazing, smart women. It was a forever bond." Kristin graduated from CSU with a bachelor of arts in technical journalism with an emphasis in public relations. While she was an undergraduate, she had the opportunity to test the waters at a local public relations firm and fell in love with the industry. From there, she graduated with a full-time job offer from OtterBox, a case manufacturing company in Fort Collins, and spearheaded their public relations and marketing department from the ground up. For seven years, Kristin helped OtterBox establish their local, national, and global offices, had an executive position, and managed a team, but she always wanted something more. In 2012, after years of doing freelance work on the side, Kristin founded WildRock Public Relations & Marketing (www.wildrockpr.com). "WildRock has been an amazing journey, both personally and professionally. We serve clients locally and nationally, everything from start-ups to seasoned businesses. I have the most incredible, dedicated, and talented team and our clients are fun and diverse, so there's never a dull moment!" "Kappa helped me solidify my confidence and leadership skills. I loved looking at all the composites throughout the years, knowing that I was part of something so much greater. Of course, reading stories about successful Kappa businesswomen also helped push me forward. I was encouraged by my sisters to follow my dreams and to believe that anything was possible." As a mother of two young girls, Kristin continues to be inspired by what a group of women can do when they put their hearts and minds together. She also became Epsilon Beta's public relations advisor last fall, which has been a fun experience giving back to the chapter while also utilizing her professional skills. "I have been blessed with amazing friendships and lasting memories, including having one of my sisters, Lauren Roesener '02, by my side as my maid of honor during my wedding. These are forever friendships and I hope my daughters will also get to experience Greek life someday." Kristin and her husband, Cody, live in Fort Collins, Colorado, with their two daughters, Hannah and Ella. When she's not working, Kristin enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and has recently picked up running again. Her team at WildRock talked her into completing a half marathon, so she's in training mode. You can contact Kristin at kristin.golliher@wildrockpr.com. A s a collegian, Katie Breckenridge '64 wanted to experience college while maintaining a sense of home. She found that feeling at Kappa Kappa Gamma. "The women of Epsilon Beta were very welcoming from the beginning. Living in a home with so many other women who came from totally different backgrounds and sharing their lives and experiences helped me realize how big the world really is. I was a part of a group of very special women, of which I was proud to say I was and continue to be." Katie thoroughly enjoyed her days as a Kappa. One fond memory of hers was driving her pick-up truck around with her sisters in the back. Katie graduated from CSU with a B.S. in education with a focus in physical education and recreation and two minors in English and biological science. Having grown up in a ranching family, the prospect of owning and running a ranch one day wasn't too farfetched. Katie and her husband, Rob Struthers, own and operate B-Bar-B Ranch (www.bbarb.com) in Picabo, Idaho. The cattle, sheep, and hay are certified organic. "We host the annual B-Bar-B Ranch Production Sale in June and sell approximately 25 head of registered American Quarter Horse Association two- and three-year-olds that we raised on the ranch." The B-Bar-B Ranch is home to over 100 head of brood mares, stallions, weanlings yearlings, two-year-olds, and older horses. The breeding program is the result of over 35 years of Katie's experience and dedication to the horse industry. She has won several local, state, regional, and national championships in the National Cutting Horse Association, the California Reined Cow Horse Association, the Idaho Hunter and Jumper Association, the Idaho Dressage Association, the American Quarter Horse Association, the Intermountain Quarter Horse Association, and the Idaho Quarter Horse Breeders Association. Katie was also presented the Outstanding Stewardship Award by Idaho State Senator Michael Crapo in working with the U.S. Forest Service, the endangered salmon and the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, and in 2001 she was inducted into the Southern Idaho Livestock Hall of Fame. "I love to work and live on the ranch. And while there isn't time for hobbies, I get to spend every day of my life living what people save up all year to do for a vacation. I am truly blessed by my livelihood." You can contact Katie at katieb@bbarb.com. Katie Breckenridge '64 Found a Home at Epsilon Beta
