We anticipate change, as the winter days inch closer and closer to those first bulbs of spring and as we prepare to welcome the graduating seniors as our newest alumnae through Hall of Commitment. Your membership in Alpha Chi Omega is a lifetime commitment that, through all of life's changes, remains a supportive and beneficial piece that helps to make Xi Chapter strong. The House Corporation Board (HCB) has been working to make sure that our beautiful chapter house continues to change and evolve to best fit the needs of our members, but also remains unchanged in the nature of providing a safe and sound home that helps nurture sisterhood, build friendships, and create lifetime memories. Over winter break we were able to make some cosmetic updates that provided a warm welcome to our active members upon their return in January. We thank our generous alumnae for your on-going monetary donations that provided a much-needed facelift to the dining room area. It almost felt like an episode on HGTV, where our contractors scraped off the popcorn ceiling, stripped the striped wall paper, patched and resurfaced the walls, repainted, and finished off the room with classic crown molding. If you haven't seen it yet, stop by our alumnae Facebook page to see some before and after photos and join in the conversation at facebook.com/groups/xichapteralumnae. Or, better yet, stop by the house and see it for yourself! Another great upgrade made over winter break was the replacement of every window on the first floor of the house. This improvement is not only visually appealing, but also makes the house more energy efficient and safe! The HCB has already scheduled the installation of new windows on the second and third floors to begin in mid-May. With your help and donations, Xi Chapter will have completely replaced all 85 windows in the chapter facility. Thank you to those sisters that provided monetary donations on behalf of this project. There is still time to help fund the installation of the remaining windows, and we would be grateful for your support.
