Round-Up Parade Entries This year's parade theme is Legends and Legacy of the Round-Up. Entry forms for the 60th Annual Red Bluff Round Up Parade, which takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, are now avail- able at the chamber of- fice at 100 Main St. and at www.redbluffchamber.com. Please sign up online with your script. The entry fee for the pa- rade is $25 online or $30 for paper registration — mail, email, fax or walk-ins — free for all Pooper Scoo- pers. Parade deadline is April 1. Applications must have script to be accepted. The Red Bluff Round Up Parade will feature 100 en- trants, including bands, floats, classic cars, horses, public officials, rodeo queens and kids. First and second place trophies will be awarded in more than 24 categories, while Sweepstakes Tro- phies are up for grabs for Best Band, Best Equestrian Unit and best depiction of theme. Fill out your applica- tion, return it by the April 1 deadline, and put your imagination to work. Cowboy Golf Tournament The Cowboy Golf Tour- nament is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, April 17 at Wil- cox Oaks Golf Club in Red Bluff. The tournament will have more prizes than ever. First prize will be flat screen televisions. There will be a $500 prize to clos- est to pin, sponsored by Red Bluff Dodge. Lots of prizes, fun and have a chance to play with pro rodeo cowboys. Registra- tion deadline is April 10. Chili Cook-Off merchant forms A Red Bluff Round-Up Kick-off event — the Chili Cook-Off — is set for Satur- day, April 11 on Washington and Pine streets. In addition to the Chili Cook-off competitors; arts, crafts, business, organiza- tions and food vendors are invited to participate. Mer- chant forms are now avail- able. Set-up begins at 6 a.m. and must be completed by 9 a.m. Vendors must remain set up throughout the entire day, until 4 p.m. Cost of 10' X 15' space will be $35. Dealers are respon- sible for their own props, tables, chairs and weather protection. Forms are available at the chamber at 100 Main St. or online at www.red- bluffchamber.com. Chili forms are available at Dolling Insurance, 527- 1616. REDBLUFFCHAMBER The Color Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk for all ages is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sat- urday, March 7 at Corning High School. You can pick up your packet at 8 a.m. The price for a team is $35, individuals are $45, and a family is $85. You may register by going to www.thecolordash5k.com. With the registration you will receive a white T-shirt to wear during the run. The proceeds go to local girls' scholarships. A breakfast will be served after the Color Dash in the school's cafeteria by the Soroptimists of Red Bluff. CORNING CHAMBER ColorDashrunis coming Saturday Tehama County Employer Advisory Council in partner- ship with the Employment Development Department will present "Job Posting, Re- cruiting&Hiring—Howand whereyoucanlook,huntand find employees." This workshop will make sureyoudoitlegally,tellyou whatyoucanandcannotsay in a job posting and what works and what doesn't. Speakers will include Michelle Clement and Am- ber Yearton. Clement is a staffing spe- cialist at the Job Training Center and has been work- ing for the JTC for more than 10 years. She received the "Workforce Profes- sional of the Year" in 2013 by the California Workforce Association. Yearton, and employ- ment development special- ist at the Employment De- velopment Department, has been with the EDD for 5 years in the employer services and workforce ser- vices department. Coffee's com- pany-widefooddriveFeb.14 collected 487,966 pounds of nonperishable items for food banks across seven states, a 109 percent in- crease over last year's total. Dutch Bros. of Chico, Redding, Red Bluff, Orland, Oroville, Paradise and Palo Cedro drew together with customers, serving their communities one can at a time, collecting a total of 15,376 pounds in the region. "Unbelievable," said co- founder Travis Boersma. "Once again, we've been blown away by the commu- nities' support and willing- ness to make a difference."
