New Year, New House Undergraduates Thrilled with Completed Project O n New Year's Day the undergraduates were given permission to move into the new addition of the chapter house. With 25 brothers living in this semester, we are able to occupy the second floor of the new addition. It was truly a great way to start off the new year and we are very thankful for all the dedication that alumni, faculty, and volunteers have given to the chapter. Our excitement is clearer now more than ever and we look forward to seeing what we will accomplish next. We are ready to soar and continue the tradition of excellence that alumni have modeled for us over the years. UNDERGRADUATES CONTINUE ACADEMIC STRIDES Ohio Theta once again earned second place among IFC chapters with a 3.31 GPA. Our new members earned an impressive 3.33 GPA. We are already utilizing the new chapter room by hosting Faculty Fellow Dr. Bauer who teaches a macroeconomics course. We are very thankful for this opportunity and look forward to seeing how else we can best utilize our new resources. MAKING A DIFFERENCE AROUND THE NATION In December, the undergraduates put on our yearly philanthropy event, the Ginger Greek House Competition. We raised more than $1,000 to give to the Smile Train Foundation in an effort to help children with cleft palates. Over the holidays, 10 brothers took a service trip to Macon, Georgia. They partnered with the Fuller Center to help a family fix up their house and were given the opportunity to help facilitate try outs and play basketball with boys between the ages of 12 and 18. Overall, the trip was a great experience and showed us how our actions can benefit other people. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FUTURE This year marks a great year for Ohio Theta. The undergraduates are hopeful to see many alumni and family at the Grand Opening Celebration so we can commemorate the efforts of our brotherhood. We are looking forward to the weekend, which will be packed with programmed events.
