"Ripper Street" has been renewed for Season 3, but at this writing, the network's website only said it would be returning in "early 2015." As for "Law & Order: UK," it's currently on a production hiatus in England, but the most recently made episodes hav - en't been shown in America yet. They're packaged a bit differently here, with several of the British "series" — their word for "seasons" — of the show combined and presented as single seasons in the U.S. What was the eighth series there, and would be the fifth season here, hasn't been scheduled by BBC America as of yet. Interestingly, the American "Law & Order" was adapted for British television by Chris Chibnall, the creator of the ac- claimed mystery "Broadchurch" — which was turned into Fox's recent version "Gracepoint," on which Chibnall also was part of the creative staff.
