Ray Parker is tenor and Keith White runs sound for the duo and plays trumpet. The duo uses soundtracks when they perform and are currently beginning work on their third CD. Give us a brief history lesson on the band. When and where did you get started? Danny and Ray have been best friends for more than seven years. In June of 2005, Born Again was spawned from the deep burning desire that Danny and Ray both have to sing for their Lord and to see souls won for Jesus. Although they have been through completely different trials in their lives, Danny and Ray credit the faith they have in God as their saving grace. How did the band get its name? Danny chose the name "Born Again" to sig- nify the duo's spiritual rebirth. How would you define your music? Country/Southern Gospel Who are your favorite bands/influences on your music? The Crabb Family, Third Day, Toby Mac, Kirk Franklin and the King, Elvis Presley. Do you write your own music and where does that inspiration come from? Yes, life experiences and praise to God. If you only had two words to describe your band what would they be? Blessed and favored What are your hopes/goals for the future of your band? Born Again hopes to be the best they can be at what they do for their Lord with the goal of reaching as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus. Where do you see the band five or 10 years from now? In five years, Born Again would like to be nationwide preaching the gospel, and 10 years from now... worldwide!
