M
odernizing the Beta Mu house to provide the best facilities for our brothers, alumni, and guests was led by Keystone Architecture and Simeone Deary design.
The team was tasked with preserving the house, protecting our brothers, and redesigning the facility to better accommodate Beta Mu.
As the primary meeting area, the Big
Room offers an incredible space for
brothers to socialize and alumni to gather
during reunions. Unfortunately, to access
the space it required going through one
of the stairwells, and once downstairs
no bathrooms could be found. To use the
porch space it required a trip through the
stairwell and out a single door.
Features
• Grand staircase - easy access from
the mezzanine to the Big Room
• New space incorporating men's/
women's restrooms and storage
• French doors leading from the
Big Room directly to the patio
• Elevator with service to the ground
floor, first floor, and second floor

First FLoor
The first floor entryway previously led
entrants to a small entry/mailroom. With
minimal restroom facilities and an outdated
and underutilized kitchen space the main
living area of the house leaves much
opportunity to redesign. This coupled with
a lack of secure storage left a garage that
wasted space.
Features
• Extended entryway with portico
• Large trophy and archive room greets
guests after entry
• New men's and women's restrooms
• Redesigned kitchen incorporating a
better use of space and updated
appliances
• Thoughtfully designed prep kitchen
and pantry area for chef or catering use
• Converted cold storage with access to
prep kitchen
• Reclaimed space from the garage will
provide secure general
purpose storage
• Elevator providing all guests
access to house
