Men of Principle Scholarship – $700,000
Other fraternities at Purdue offer an alumni-sponsored scholarship program to
their undergraduate members. The Men of Principle scholarship expands upon
this idea to reward high-achieving brothers, offering the most competitive
program on campus.
All undergraduate brothers are eligible on a yearly basis for this scholarship
with the following guidelines:
• $300 for GPA 3.0 or greater
• Additional $300 for GPA 3.25 or greater
• Additional $300 for GPA 3.50 or greater
• Additional $300 for GPA 3.75 or greater
• $150 for participation in philanthropy projects 15 hours or greater
• $150 for participation in any Beta Theta Pi leadership training course
above those required
Total possible scholarship: $1,500
Scholarship is void if brother has any campus judicial violations or Kai
Committee violations.
Chapter Recolonizing Costs – $100,000
As a condition of being allowed to recolonize on Purdue's
campus, Beta Mu must provide an in-house advisor from Beta Theta
Pi's general fraternity to help ensure the Chapter abides by the Men
of Principle Initiative.
"The young man from the General Fraternity who is on
campus organizing the effort is just outstanding. He's a
graduate from the California area who was actually a
'founder' of his chapter so he's gone through this
process before.
He introduced us to some of the young men who have
committed so far—the 'refounding fathers.' All are sharp,
outgoing, carefully screened and committed to the new Beta
Mu, including the Men of Principle."

Beta Mu's Mission –
Recruit & Retain the Best
T
he future of Beta Mu depends on continuing to recruit men who will become the foundation of the undergraduate Chapter for the next 100 years. We must
find innovative approaches to not only offer the best recruiting tools, but also ensure we as alumni are supporting the undergraduates who are striving for greatness.
