"Chapter members sold pizza to guests and Blind Soul Productions provided musical entertainment. We were thrilled to raise $2,103 to support the Delta Gamma Foundation," said VP Foundation Lauren Delzell '12. TAU WELCOMES 53 NEW MEMBERS This fall, Tau Chapter proudly welcomed 53 exceptional young women to the Chapter through formal recruitment and continuous open recruitment. VP Membership Dani Milucheva '11 said, "We really focused on a values-based recruitment this year and as a result gained a group of truly exceptional young women to carry on Tau's legacy." MEMBERS SERVE ON CAMPUS DG members were active this fall in helping the Department of Ophthalmology. Forty-five of our women volunteered nearly 100 hours. Volunteers were instrumental in helping the KidSight program, helping to process vision-screening results during the record-setting fall month. SISTERHOOD BOND Our members bonded at numerous sisterhood events throughout the semester, including apple picking, pumpkin carving, pottery painting and ice-skating. Members also participated in our Day of Service where we helped weed and mulch gardens at a local park. DAD'S WEEKEND FUN The women of Tau Chapter and their fathers enjoyed a nice weekend together at our annual dad's weekend in September. Father-daughter pairs participated in bowling, an outdoor picnic and attended our fall scholarship brunch to acknowledge members' academic achievement. With such a successful fall semester under our belt, Tau is looking forward to everything this spring has to offer. If you find yourself in Iowa City anytime in the upcoming months, please stop by the house. We'd love to see you and give you a tour!
