NEED: e current mortgage is now under $600,000 and has been paid down steadily through generous gis in previous campaign phases, as well as operational income. e elimination of this debt would provide a financial stability for future generations of Delts. So, all campaign proceeds above our goal will be contributed to reducing the mortgage. With improved financial footing, the House Corporation will actively plan for the long-term maintenance and capital improvements of the Shelter. In addition, rent for the undergraduates will remain competitive on the KU campus. VISION: e mortgage will be reduced, leaving the House Corporation in a sound financial position. Long-term Viability NEED: While Gamma Tau has enjoyed recent recruitment success, most of the top fraternities have significantly upgraded their facilities in the past few years, leaving Gamma Tau at a disadvantage to recruiting and retaining the highest- caliber new members and the best housemother. VISION: e Gamma Tau Shelter will be competitive with the best fraternity housing at KU, ensuring a competitive edge for our chapter and the maternal influence of a strong housemother. DETAILS: o Old section bathroom renovation o Full renovation of women's restroom o Updated modern laundry room o Upgraded kitchen and dining areas o Housemother suite renovation with new furnishings, upgraded amenities (TV, computer, and kitchenette) Cost: $245,000 Modernization
