For that matter, you could extend the thought to repeats of "Saturday Night Live," but that full title is the brand name of the show even when it's a rebroadcast of a previously staged episode. Q : I read someplace that the show "Believe" will not be on anymore. Is this true? — Ann Garcia, Marysville, Ohio A : It is. NBC felt it had quite a coup when the show premiered last March, since not long before that, executive producer and co-creator Alfonso Cuaron had won Oscars for di - recting and editing "Gravity." After a promising debut, the show's ratings dropped signifi- cantly for its second airing and generally trended downward from there. They ticked back up for the end of its run, but by then, it was too late ... to the extent that NBC didn't even air the last episode of the 13 that were filmed. A : Subscribers of the Epix pay channels have been able to see it there since August 2013, but we'd be surprised if it doesn't make its way to a basic cable channel sometime during 2015. A : It was in 1977, on Crosby's Christmas special — and since Bowie wasn't particularly keen on performing that song, a new one titled "Peace on Earth" was prepared for him hastily, then merged with Crosby's crooning of "The Little Drummer Boy." One of the sad ironies is that the performance's first tele - cast followed Crosby's death by only a few weeks; the segment was recorded in London that September, Crosby passed a month later, and CBS aired the program at the end of November.
