This building was designed with the Army's mission in mind. "It is our obligation to ensure
that our soldiers today – and the soldiers of the future – have the land, water and air resources they need to train; a healthy environment in which to live; and the support of local communities and the American people," said FORSCOM representative Jim Hinnant. The building is a marriage of form and function and Tad Davis, the CEO of USARC, is no tree
hugger. He is a business man driven by the economics of sustainability. "We want to be good stewards of the tax payer's dollar," he said. "Sustainability is all about that." Davis sees the headquarters as an investment that will pay off in both the short and
long terms. He's done his homework and has rare insight into Fort Bragg's financials. In his previous position as Fort Bragg garrison commander, he was responsible for paying the water and light bills. "There is a lot of goodness at Bragg," Davis said. And he's excited to return and add to that "goodness" a building—and a workforce—that can stand the test of time. H
