Symphony Orchestra T Fayetteville he Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 55th Emerald Anniversary year and might seem small, but they are big on sound and are the oldest community symphony in the state. The FSO puts on educational events for younger audiences like the Instrument Zoo where children can explore numerous instruments in a hands-on environ- ment. Season tickets or individual can be purchased for the 2011-2012 season. In October the Symphonic Spooktacular is sure to thrill the family as they feature spooky orchestral pieces from "Pirates of the Caribbean'" "Harry Potter", "Star Wars" and more at the Reeves Auditorium, Meth- odist University. Fouad Fakhouri, the Music Director and Conductor of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, has in less than two seasons, more than tripled the organization's budget through elevating the orchestra's artistic standard and creating novel educational and outreach programs that appeal to broader audiences.
