Get out and play. Action and Adventure By Kelly Twedell A re there some adults who happen to be the biggest kids you know and relish ac- tivities that bring them back to their youth? Fayetteville has an array of options for many family fun adventures. Spend a few hours at one of our local indoor rock climbing gyms, play a game of miniature golf, bowling, or visit an indoor arcade for a quick outing. Fort Bragg's adjacent Morale, Welfare and Recreation, known as MWR in military speak, equals good times. If you are not an Military ID card holder, you likely know someone who is. Get together with them to plan your next weekend outing and take advantage of what the Mo- rale Welfare and Recreation rental center has to offer. Most equipment is rented for a 24-hour period or for the weekend, depending on the item. From canoes, motorized fishing boats, mountain bikes to Santa Claus suits, MWR's rental center is chock full of unexpected surprises. One can plan a winter ski vacation in the moun- tains or rent gear for a full scale camping trip on the beach. Other facilities under MWR include the riding stables where you can mosey out for a trail ride in the wooded acres and trails surrounding Fort Bragg's Smith Lake. Looking to teach some gun safety to the family or improve your shot group? Head out to the sporting clays target center where you can rent the guns and the gear. For a complete listing of facilities, a map and rental items available with prices go to: www.fortbraggmwr.com. For a scenic adrenaline rush, young and old alike have hailed ZipQuest as the latest craze for an adventure.
