The Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) honored eight chambers at their annual meeting: Asheville Area Chamber Fayetteville Regional Chamber Greater Lexington Chamber Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber Greenwood Chamber Outer Banks Chamber Richmond County Chamber Wilkes Chamber "We are incredibly honored to earn this designation from CACCE," said Doug Peters, Chamber President and CEO. "Our staff has worked hard to make sure we're doing everything we can to build our business community up." According to CACCE, "the Carolinas Accredited Chamber program sets standards of excellence for chambers in North and South Carolina. It recognizes chambers that have met those standards while offering guidelines for others to improve their effectiveness. This group joins nine chambers that were recognized last year, bringing the total number of Carolinas Accredited Chambers to 17."
