Despite what might have transpired by the printing of this newsletter, it sure is good to be a Rebel! It has been busy not only in Oxford and at the university, but at the Phi Mu Sorority house as well. With the new pledge class added to an already large chapter, we are bursting at the seams. We are so proud of the wonderful members of our sorority and of our Phi Mu Chapter House at the University of Mississippi. The Chapter House underwent a major facelift this summer and the women seem very pleased with all the improvements. The Wi-Fi system has been an issue due to so many members utilizing the house for their studies. We are in the process of upgrading that system to ensure members can continue to study easily at the house. The House Corporation believes that safety and security are top priorities for all of our members. We are installing outside cameras at both entrances to add to the already efficient security system on the Ole Miss campus. We added extra guards at the house on game day and are in the process of installing swipe entry cards at all entrances, both upstairs and downstairs. To our many visitors, that will mean you must be accompanied upstairs by a resident. The rooms upstairs are the undergraduates' home away from home, and we want to respect that just as we ask them to respect the Phi Mu house. We look forward to everyone visiting the Phi Mu house in the future. If you find yourself on campus during the week, please feel free to stop by. Please remember that game days are hectic and there will be some restrictions, so please bring your patience and your respect. We want to keep all of our members safe and happy.
