Delta Gamma page 3 F all semester has been a very exciting and successful term for Beta Kappa. Two months into the semester, we have already hosted a variety of events and participated in several community and campus activities. Beta Kappa Welcomes 70 New Members This semester began with a successful fall formal recruitment. After two weeks of hard work, the chapter made Panhellenic quota and welcomed 67 new members into our home, including 16 legacies. Two weeks later we participated in continuous open recruitment, where we welcomed three more new members. The addition of 70 women brings our chapter total to 188 collegians. The new members have already begun participating in their new member pursuits and will do so until initiation on November 15. If alumnae are interested in attending initiation please contact me at bkdeltagamma@gmail.com. We are confident that this pledge class will bring high ideals, leadership, and dedication to the fraternity. Growing Pledge Families With the addition of new members comes the growth of pledge families. Big/ little reveal took place at the Beta Kappa Chapter house on October 1. Each of the sophomore members waited on the front lawn, wrapped in gift wrap. The new members searched for their names and then all together unwrapped their gift to find their new big sisters! DG Paired with Kappa Sigma for Homecoming 2014 September 21-27 marked the university's 102nd Homecoming celebration.
