" T e m ore you give, the m o re you share, the m ore you have." Anchored In Delta Gamma at the University of Kansas fall 2014 inside: Alumnae Spotlight p. 2 • Fall Semester Off to a Great Start p. 3 • New Members p. 4 T he 2014 school year is well underway and with it came a lot of changes to the house corporation board! Detailed below is a list of all our new members. Also, Twila Deahl joined us as Beta Kappa's new house director. Some of you may have met Twila during mock recruitment and likely were dazzled by her warmth, charm and personality. Twila was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. She then went on to college at UC-Boulder, got married, and had a son, Schane. She has lived on both coasts but eventually found her way to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to be closer to her granddaughter (future DG?), and now she is here in Lawrence with us. Twila jumped right into her role as house director. She was calling, texting, and making appointments to meet with the house corporation, the other house directors on campus, and with Delta Gamma staff to make sure she was ready when all 84 young women arrived on August 10. We are very lucky to have Twila. So what do all these changes mean for Beta Kappa? First, we are all very excited to serve on this board and wish to continue the past members' vision to make Delta Gamma the best chapter on campus. Second, and inspired by the quote above, we hope to give our time and share our experience so that the Chapter may have many more years of excellence. Third, we welcomed 84 girls back to the house, and the board looks forward to "doing good" this year and for years to come! As always, please contact us if you are interested in serving on the house corporation. With a larger board, we can give more, share more, and provide more opportunities to the Chapter.
