Class of 2014 Already Making Its Mark I t's been only four short months since 55 Alpha Nus completed their finals, walked in May graduation ceremonies, and departed Columbia brimming with newfound knowledge, treasured memories, ambitious dreams, and unbridled adventure. Many of our newest alumnae made fast work of lining up jobs. For example, Julia Plant '10 is the development coordinator at Denver-based High Noon Entertainment, a reality production company. Her near-term career goal is to find the next Duck Dynasty. Courtney Weissman '10 is a senior social media analyst at Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, while Maggie Omastiak '11 parlayed her summer advertising internship at The Integer Group in Dallas into a full-time position. Kaia Nycklemoe '10 now works in Washtington, D.C. at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics, a government watchdog group that targets corrupt politicians using litigation and strategic communications. Sofia Rodriquez '10 took a bite of the Big Apple, lives near Times Square, and works as a buying assistant at New York & Company. At least three Alpha Nus are making waves in the Second City. Jacqueline Korn '10 is a digital sales representative for Anixter, a leading global distributor of communications and security products in the north Chicago suburbs. Erin Wilkerson '11 moved to Gurnee, Illinois, in the greater Chicagoland area and is a senior specialist managing five medical devices for Cardinal Health. Michelle Reichmeier '11 is a search specialist for Mindshare, a global media agency network. Still in the heartland, Chelsea Standifer '11 landed a plum position at JP Morgan in Kansas City, where she works for the CEO of the retirement department as an analyst. Judy Kwedar '10 is an RN at Boone Hospital in the Step Down unit. Shannon Higgins '10 calls St. Louis her home base, but her new home is really the road. Shannon travels for Alpha Chi Omega headquarters as a chapter consultant and is working with our sisters primarily in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. While many of the Class of 2014 have joined the workforce, still others are focused on advancing their education. Holly Hoffmeister '10 is living in Overland Park and pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Anna Rudy '10 is completing research in biomedical engineering while adding a second major in computer science. Michelle Gerchen '10 is teaching civics and sociology at Rock Bridge High School while seeking a master's degree in teaching and curriculum. And some Alpha Nu alumnae are enjoying their status as recent graduates and taking time to explore their options. Lia Milazzo '10 has gone west and is a new resident of Portland, Oregon. Rachel Taylor '10 is enjoying being home in Maysville, Missouri, spending time with family, watching her brother play Friday night football, and serving as a substitute teacher. Fifty-five recent graduates, 55 diverse paths to fulfilling lives. Congratulations and welcome to each of our newest alumnae.
