Pairing them with boots and a sweater transitions them for the cold holiday season. Another great look is the bright colors from spring toned down with either grey or navy to create a fun holiday look. 2. What is this season's must-have accessory? BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS....did I say boots? Tall boots, short boots, high heeled or flat, just get out and get them. They are a must-have this season! 3. What is the appropriate attire when dressing for office parties? If the party is at your office, add a bit of shine or sparkle to your regular work day outfit. If it is held somewhere a bit more upscale or at your boss' home I usually go a bit more dressy. Think of a great party dress or a fabulous jacket. A good rule of thumb is one or two steps up from office wear unless otherwise specified. 4. What is the most comfortable yet stylish shoe for the holidays? The loafer, or my current obsession this year, the oxford. These are easily dressed up and comfortable enough to wear all day and into the night. 5. What is the most stylish hostess gift to bring to parties? My hubby is a beer brewer so normally we bring homemade beer as a hostess gift. I do love to bring a special little trinket to the hostess especially if I know she really loves something in particular. One of the items I have fallen in love with are C. Wonder Monogrammed Cheese Boards or their Tea for One. I will bring those with my favorite cheese and crackers or my favorite tea for the hostess to enjoy after the guests have departed. 6. Are sparkles and glittery makeup still considered in? Glittery make-up is a touchy subject. I say only at night, and only for parties. 7. What are the latest hairstyles and make up trends for the holidays? Braids and curls are super fun and creative. Jazz up a side swept ponytail by doing a fishtail braid or adding jumbo curls. The trend for make up will be bold colored lips. Pick your favorite classic shade of lipstick to make a statement.
