RHO CHAPTER LEARNS FROM RECRUITMENT SPECIALISTS T he Gamma Phi Beta collegians have returned to Iowa City! The Rho chapter house is fuller than ever with a record 64 women living in the house this year. Our new house director, Joanie Calder, came to us from Drake University and we are so excited to have her this year. The women participated in work week activities every day in preparation for formal recruitment. We learned about having good conversations in a Phired Up workshop. Phired Up is a Greek company that teaches, coaches, researches, and writes about how fraternities and sororities can recruit and retain more high-quality members through a values-centered, research-based, and relationship-focused approach. Membership Vice President Kerry Trewartha '12 did a wonderful job in making work week productive and enjoyable. Rho is looking forward to a fun semester filled with sisterhoods, philanthropy events, retreats, Iowa football games, Homecoming, dad's day, and much more! Alongside all of these fun events, Rho will be focusing on strengthening our scholarship and sisterhood. We want to see more alumnae at the chapter house. Please visit; we would love to meet you.
