Finds Body Of Unknown Man; Dies In Barn The body of an unidentified man was found last night in the barn of A. V. Andrews in the southern outskirts of Red Bluff. The unfortunate stranger, believed to be an itinerant who had been traveling through the country alone and without means, called at the Andrews home about 1 o’clock yesterday after- noon and asked permission to lie down in the barn, saying that he was ill. — Aug. 16, 1921 COMMUNITY CLIPS Blood Drive Wednesday BloodSource and Baskin-Robbins are joining to pro- vide ice cream coupons for donors at the Red Bluff Community blood drive Wednesday, Aug. 17. Sponsored by Red Bluff Emblem club, it will be at the Veterans Memorial building, Oak and Jackson streets. Registration is 2-6 p.m. Especially in hot weather, BloodSource encourages prospective donors to drink adequate fluids. A donor card or photo identification is required. It is open to the public, and no reservation is needed. Professional staff comes from BloodSource, and Emblem club volunteers register and serve refresh- ments following donation. Basic requirements include general good health, minimum weight of 110 pounds and minimum age of 17 or 16 with parental consent. There is no upper age limit for those who can pass the tests. Kiwanis Bunco Night The Central Tehama Kiwanis will host Bunco Night on Thursday, Aug. 18, in the Tehama Museum Annex, behind the main building, at 275 C Street, in the City of Tehama. Registration begins at 6:15 p.m., and Bunco starts at 7 p.m. There will be refreshments and raffle prizes. The cost is $10 per person. Tickets should be bought in advance, although a limited number will be available at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Scholarship Fund.
