Melodie Powell '75 is an attorney and lives in Kansas City, Mo.,
with her husband, Jerry Short. She notes, "It's a small world! Jerry
and I recently attended the Jefferson Club dinner in Columbia. At
our table were Don and Suzanne Howser, parents of New Member
Director Anna Howser '12, and Bob and Joanie Dixon, grandparents
of freshman Collette Theodour '13! So cool when we made the
connection. Both couples commented how much their daughter and
granddaughter love Alpha Phi and the house."
Mary Ann Purdham Hammock '79 is a CPA employed by the
Internal Revenue Service in Springfield, Mo., as an agent in the
Special Enforcement Program, which specializes in the prosecution
of tax fraud. She has one daughter, Emily.

Christi D. Roberts Kent '84 married Martin G. VanHorn in May.
Together they have three children and one grandchild. Christi was
a preschool teacher for 25-plus years, until she switched to special
needs four years ago. She lives in Kansas City, Mo.

Jennifer McNay '92, Centertown, Mo., received the University
of Missouri 2014 Advancement Columns of Excellence Respect
Award. Nominated by her peers, Jennifer was recognized for
her commitment to promoting the culture of excellence through
teamwork, encouraging the engagement of Mizzou family and friends
to advance the University, and embracing the Spirit of Mizzou with
enjoyment and inspiration. In addition to her professional fundraising
work, Jennifer is also a member of Omicron's house corporation
