The Top 10 Sisters Challenged to Increase Participation Percentage Your Gift Today Will Make a Difference Finishing Touches By the time you get this correspondence, all the organized chaos of finishing the lodge should be complete. For those who have built before, you know there are so many details that fall into place during those last weeks. In the midst of interior finishes and landscaping details, the actives returned for recruitment. The girls were so thrilled to see their new lodge and the excitement resulted in a fabulous recruitment of 83 new angels! Texas Gamma is growing by leaps and bounds and our new house beautifully accommodates our growing sisterhood. Mark Your Calendar We are making plans for a grand celebration for everyone to see the lodge's beautiful completion. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, October 19, as that special day. With Homecoming and Texas Gamma Parent's Weekend already scheduled for October 17-19, the house corporation thought the lodge dedication would be a great addition to an already exciting weekend. Festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. Honored guests will be present to speak, followed by a wine and blue ribbon cutting, reception, and lodge tours. All donors will be receiving a personal invitation by mail. For any alumnae or chapter parents who cannot stay to attend the ceremony on Sunday, we will be hosting an open house on Saturday. A time will be set as soon as we know when game time is, usually one week prior. Watch for updated information via e-mail or on our Facebook page at Texas Gamma Pi Phi Alumni Club. Increasing Our Participation The From Roots to Wings campaign contin- ues to reach out to all of our alumnae and give everyone an opportunity to give to the project. While reaching $1 million raised by the dedication event would be wonderful, we would rather focus on the percentage of Pi Phis making a contribution. Of our 1,713 Texas Gamma alumnae, 385 have given to the campaign, which equals nearly 23%. We know we can do better than this. We would like for our percentage of participation to be the number that really changes! Making a Difference For those of you who have already contributed, we are sincerely thankful! For those who have not, we hope you will join your sisters listed on pages 2-3 who realize the need to help support the future of Pi Beta Phi at Texas Tech University. Let's make our percentage of participation a big number! Aside from the tax-deductible naming opportunities listed to the right, remember a non-tax-deductible gift of $2,500 or more to our House Corporation will put your name on a beautiful plaque to be prominently displayed at the new lodge.
