the lion tattler Members participated in the Dance Marathon philanthropy last spring. Illinois Beta Growing in Right Direction S AE ILBE had a very successful spring semester. As a chapter, we raised nearly $18,000 for the American Heart Association through our spring Paddy Murphy philanthropy week that took place in April. In addition, our members teamed up with various charities throughout the Champaign area and completed over 1,000 hours of community service. We have members involved in clubs and organizations throughout campus that range from Illinois business consulting to Illinois club sports such as baseball and lacrosse. Regarding recruitment, in the fall of 2013 we initiated 39 members and initiated 10 more in the spring class. We are in the recruitment process and hope to recruit another great class. This past spring was a successful semester and the first semester of our suspension, which ends in January. We look forward to building on our positive growth with a great fall semester. Again, thank you for all of the support over the last year and we are excited to begin the new semester.
