The Squirrel's Nest 2 E ven though the semester has just begun, Psi Chapter is already diving into all the exciting activities and events that come with the fall. Psi Soars during Recruitment We started off the semester pledging 115 amazing girls who will grow our chapter in excellence and tradition. We are excited to see how they get more involved on campus and with Psi over the next four years. All members have jumped back into involvement on campus as they seek the best for themselves and for our chapter. Academics Hold Strong For the spring 2014 semester, Alpha Gamma Delta ranked third in grades on campus behind Alpha Chi Omega and Chi Omega. Our GPA was 3.47, well above the all-sorority average of 3.32. Our vice president of scholarship spent the summer working with a technology developer to create an app that will help track study hall hours in the house and on campus. We are excited to see how this new development motivates our members and affects our GPA. AGD Gives Back We are excited to continue 5th Quarter Initiative, a wonderful program we implemented with Phi Gamma Delta to package food from leftover athletic events that's distributed each week at the West Alabama Food Bank. Over the last two years, we have donated more than 32,000 meals to feed the hungry in our community. It has easily become one of the most treasured programs we are involved with. Throughout this semester, we will raise awareness and funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The fall semester is always an exciting time for our chapter to grow together and on campus. We are excited to share our successes with our amazing alumnae who make it all possible. If you plan attending any football games this fall, please stop by the house beforehand for a visit.
