Alpha Delta Pi 5 home. Any donation is appreciated; your best gift is all I ask for. I would like to see our overall participation really grow, and I hope you'll get on board with this campaign. How wonderful would it be to have 100% from all of our sisters, past and present? Please do what you can to close the gap to our goal and raise our participation so that we can ensure the future of Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Kansas. Loyally, Lauren Priest Gore '01 Campaign Board Member (913) 449-9666 LGore@bluevalleyk12.org Tau Chapter Celebrates Milestone in Campaign (Continued from page 1) like "eating dinner together, walking to class, or getting ready together for a night out. There was an epic spring break, Rock Chalk in/out parties, recruitment, and bid days. The sisterhood I see between today's sisters is a reminder of my own time as a collegian." Sara is happy with what she sees at today's Tau Chapter. "The house was pink when I lived there, so the outside and inside décor have evolved and look fantastic. While the outside has changed, the warm and friendly women inside have remained. I am really impressed with the collegians and their dedication to the chapter." The success of today's collegians is part of the reason Sara has supported the Tau Chapter campaign. "I am motivated by the collegiate women and the great things they are doing on campus. I am motivated by the sisters who graduated decades ago and still feel this connection to Tau. I am motivated by the amazing things sororities do for young women, and the lifelong skills and friendship that come from sorority membership." Sara hopes all alumnae can become involved with the campaign. "There are many different options and giving levels for women to consider. Every little bit counts! We want to ensure that we have a beautiful and updated house for our women. The Tau Chapter house was a home away from home for me, and I want our collegians to feel that way too." Sara and her husband, Rick, were married in November 2011 and welcomed their first child, a future ADPi legacy, in late June 2014. They live in Louisburg, Kansas. Contact Sara at gillhamsara@yahoo.com. She encourages any alumnae interested in serving as an advisor, volunteer or on a committee to update their personal information on Pride Online on the ADPi website. Sara Gillham Bedwell '98 (Continued from page 3) Tau Members Are Grateful for Alumnae Support Chapter Looks Forward to Another Successful Semester T he past school year was very successful for Tau and we're looking forward to an exciting fall semester. From academic improvement to a more intense focus on our sisterhood, our chapter is bettering itself every day and our members are having so much fun through the process. Chapter Moves Up in Academic Ranking We continued to improve our chapter's overall GPA over the past few semesters. We earned a 3.15 during spring of 2013, a 3.24 during fall of 2013, and a 3.31 last spring. Currently, we're ranked sixth in Panhellenic, five places up from our ranking of 11 a year ago. I'm so proud of our members and all of their hard work! We can't wait to share news about our fall 2014 ranking in future publications. Tau Stands Out in Greek Community In addition to academic achievement, we also experienced success last semester in the Greek community. In February, we hosted an all-Greek seminar on binge drinking with 800 Greeks in attendance. In April, our chapter was recognized at Greek Awards with Excellence in Membership Development & Education and Community Awareness. Members Are Leaders on Campus Our individual members are very involved on campus as well. Each woman is a member of at least two other organizations and many are leaders of those organizations. Three of our recent alumnae were recognized by Alpha Delta Pi this summer at Leadership Seminar for their involvement at KU. Nicole Nunes '10 and Kelly Murphy '10 were awarded the Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award, and Lauren Edwards '10 and Kelly Murphy were awarded the Ruth Pretty Palmer Panhellenic Award. Thank You, Alumnae It is unbelievable that another year is nearly underway, and our chapter is excited to see what this semester holds. We are happy to have all of the new renovations in the chapter house, which we're very thankful for our alumnae sisters who made this possible. We hope to see many of you at the Homecoming game on September 27!
