Some will pick out something scary, others something funny, and still others will want to be their favorite character from television or the movies. For everyone out there ready to show the world their costume this year, Fort Bragg is offering multiple opportunities show off that special look. On Friday, October 23, Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) is prov- ing once again that Halloween is not just for kids. Adults (18 and over) are encouraged to don their Halloween best for the 2nd Annual Hallowscream. Music, food and prizes round out the evening of fun at Sports USA. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The evening of fun and excitement begins at 8 p.m. For more information, please call 396-7751. Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins! The Fort Bragg Green Beret Club is giving you a chance to smash pumpkins. On Friday, October 30, grab your weapon of choice and smash away. Guests can also participate in pumpkin bowling, pumpkin toss and more while enjoying great themed music. The fun begins at 6 p.m. and is open to adults 21 years of age and older only. The Pumpkin Smash is free of charge. For more information, please call 907-4976. Halloween comes on a Saturday this year bringing about a chance to showcase your costume all night long. Kids and parents are invited to come in costumes for the annual free Child, Youth and School Services Halloween Carnival. Tolson Youth Activities Center will be full of games, candy and fun on Halloween from 6-8 p.m. A costume contest will take place at 8 pm. As the fun winds down at Tolson, the night is not over on Fort Bragg. Sports USA will host a Halloween Party beginning at 8 p.m. This Family friendly event will feature a live DJ, costume contest, prizes and games for the kids.
