He can be reached at trclark@butler.edu with any questions or recommendations for a man you think would make a good Delt. Second Highest G.P.A. The Beta Zeta Chapter had the second highest G.P.A. out of six fraternities in the spring of 2014, with an average of 3.29. This is well above the all-Greek average of 3.21 and the all-men's 3.15. Our new members also boasted an impressive 3.379 average, the highest of all fraternity new member classes. We are implementing a scholarship program that encourages brothers to support each other in the spirit of friendly competition. Over $38,000 Raised for Philanthropy We honor two philanthropic organizations every year as a chapter, The Matt White Cure ALS Foundation with Delt Dunk in the fall and Riley Hospital for Children's Ed Seaver Fund with Trike- la-Tron in the spring. This past fall, we raised over $13,500 to go directly to the Center for Genetic Medicine at Northwestern University and the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. We also raised over $25,000 toward the Ed Seaver Fund, which provides toys, blankets, and other necessities to the young patients of Riley. We are so thankful to the alumni, parents, and friends of Delt who supported us in either or both philanthropies. 103 Active Members The chapter grew in size by 38 this past spring with the addition of our newest pledge class. All 38 men also progressed through our new member program, where they learned the values and history of our fraternity and were initiated mid-semester. Though our seniors graduated in May, we are at an impressive 103 active members this fall. We will continue to seek out students at Butler who exhibit our four pillars of truth, courage, faith and power and are seeking to live a life of excellence. Delts Hold Many Leadership Positions The chapter has continued to make on-campus involvement a strong tenet of our membership. Many members of the Student Government Association are Delts, including the 2014-15 president, Chad Pingel '15. Delts also hold leadership positions in many other student organizations and honors societies. Alumni and Parents Stay Connected The alumni of Beta Zeta continue to exhibit their lifelong commitment to Delt in volunteering their time and talents for the undergraduates. Every year, we host an alumni night during formal recruitment week where alumni can come back, meet potential new members, and see the Shelter. We will also host alumni at Homecoming, September 26-28. For parents, during Family Weekend, we will have an open house lunch from 12–3 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, where parents of members and prospective members can come visit the Shelter, see construction progress, and talk with members. We are unveiling a new and improved website to go live this fall, where alumni, parents, and friends of Delt can see our progress through the semester and keep in touch. The website is located at www. ButlerDelts.com. We truly appreciate the help and support of our parents, alumni, and friends, for we would not be anywhere were it not for their guidance. Fraternally, David Ediger '16 Chapter President (630) 674-5776 / dediger@butler.edu Trike 2014 was a success. We decorated the house with banners for our spring philanthropy event, Trike. Active members were champions of Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash. We had a great turnout of brothers for BUDM.
