We recognize that each of us benefited from the generosity, work, and sacrifice of those who went before us. We all enjoyed the sisterhood Kappa provided during our years at OSU. Now it is our turn to stretch our giving and support the financial challenge associated with this project. We urge your thoughtful consideration of this plan. We must move forward now or risk falling behind others. With your support, Beta Nu will continue to provide a quality living environment that supports, nurtures, and develops outstanding young women with the skills and confidence to face an ever-changing world. The commitment we make today cannot be underestimated—it will have a far-reaching effect on the lives our Beta Nu sisters for years to come. The Key to Our Future GIFT STRUCTURE Because of the magnitude of our objectives, we urge all alumnae to consider major gifts to the campaign. In order for each alumna to maximize her participation, gifts can be structured over a five-year pledge period. However, early gifts to the campaign are preferable to help reduce borrowing costs. Gifts in honor or in memory of other Kappa Kappa Gammas, as well as family gifts, are welcome. Recognition in such cases will be given to both the donor and the honoree. W e urge your thoughtful consideration of this project. You are the only one who can place a value on your Beta Nu membership—on the lifelong friendships you made, on the values and principles that were instilled in you, and on the many ways Kappa Kappa Gamma enhanced your college years. Together with our active members, the volunteer leadership of the Beta Nu Building Association is committed to this major undertaking, which will allow us to renovate and expand our chapter home. Our investment in the future of Beta Nu's facility will ensure the success of our chapter and will promote a legacy upon which to build an even greater sisterhood. TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFTS Gifts to the campaign are 100% tax deductible through the Beta Nu Educational Area Fund at the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. The Internal Revenue Service will allow exclusively educational space in the home to be funded with tax-deductible dollars that are gifted to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation and designated for the Beta Nu Chapter. OHIO STATE BENEFITS Donors who give $3,000 or more per year to the Beta Nu Educational Area Fund at the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation for the educational spaces in the chapter house may receive recognition toward their lifetime giving amount to The Ohio State University Foundation. These donors will also qualify for The Ohio State University President's Club benefits, if they so choose, including season football tickets and parking. PAY IT FORWARD Your investment in Beta Nu will directly impact the lives of our current and future members. Today, perhaps more than ever, it is important that we provide young college women with an environment that offers a solid foundation for their education and affords them opportunities for high academic achievement and the development of leadership and social skills. DONOR RECOGNITION Room naming opportunities may be available for donors who contribute $15,000 or more. Additionally, each donor who contributes $2,500 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque in the chapter house, and donors who contribute $1,000 or more will be recognized in campaign publications, unless otherwise requested. NON-TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFTS NEEDED A larger portion of the project is deemed non- educational, which means there is a need for contributions that are not tax deductible to complete the project with minimal debt placed on the chapter. directing a portion of their gift to the Beta Nu Building Association. "Now is the time for every Beta Nu alumna to pay it forward and give back to our chapter. Each of us had a special Kappa experience, and this project ensures that young women have the same opportunity to learn, lead, and build friendships for generations to come." –Lou Ann Yardley Ransom '57
