I was told we would be seeing the final two episodes on June 21, but an old movie was shown instead. Obviously, that ir- ritates me. — Judith Barber, Pick- erington, Ohio A : If it's any comfort, you're not the only one irritated. We've received a number of queries from viewers in your area about this. NBC did air those episodes of the Gillian Anderson-starring series that night, so the pre-emption with the movie was made on the local level. Admittedly, "Crisis" wasn't a rat- ings success — the reason it got only one season — but for those who did follow it, we can't disagree that it would have been nice to have access to the finale. If you haven't done so already, take a look at the On Demand channels if your cable company offers them. The one that includes NBC programming should have at least the last several "Crisis" episodes, one way to keep from wondering forever how the show concluded. Q : I was surprised to hear that Diane Sawyer is leaving "ABC World News." It doesn't seem like she's been the anchor of it all that long. When did she start? — John Morgan, Glen Burnie, Md. A : She succeeded Charles Gib- son on the program on Dec. 21, 2009 ... thus getting a "soft launch" in the job, since she was expected to start that January. When David Muir becomes her successor Sept. 2, she'll move into a new ABC News unit covering "big issues," per the network. Q : It's nice to see Ally Walker back on television in "Taxi Brooklyn." What else has she done since "Profiler"? — Jane Everett, Antioch, Calif. A : She's actually had a couple of other series, HBO's "Tell Me You Love Me" and Lifetime's "The Protector." However, she's also spent a lot of the in-between time in her real-life role as mom; she has three children with husband John Landgraf, who's the president of FX Networks and the man who decided to bring viewers such series as "American Horror Story," "The Amer- icans," "Justified" and "Louie." Q : I was recently watching "Judging Amy" repeats, and I was wondering what happened to Eric after he killed the stalker. The last thing I saw was Maxine visiting him in jail, and he wanted to explain what happened. — Kim Miller, Hope, Ind. A : Eric (played by Blake Bashoff) went on trial for the killing and was declared not guilty, but the situ- ation had put an irreparable dent in his relationship with Maxine (Tyne Daly), so he decided to leave for Canada.
