Alpha Theta Delta Alumni Building Association P.O. Box 30640 Seattle, WA 98113-0640 Address Service Requested A T h e retê LifeLong friends and ProfessionaL success Jeff Bjornstad '90 Is Thankful for His Chi Psi Experience J eff Bjornstad '90 moved to a new high school after the divorce of his parents and, as a result, did not have many lifelong friends from his earlier years. When Jeff decided to attend the University of Washington, joining Chi Psi was an easy choice. He liked the quality of men he met during his recruitment experience. He remains in contact with several brothers, including Kent Smith '90, Sean Douglas '91, Bob Ferguson '89, Jeff Newell '90, Doug Clapp '89, Nick Mayo '88, Bill Holder '87, John Blacksmith '89, and Brian Bennett '91. Jeff's experiences at the Lodge played a critical role in his professional life after college. "Living with 60 other people and learning how to listen, compromise, and work as a team were key leadership tools that I apply every day in my personal and professional life," Jeff said. The Lodge also provided some great memories from Jeff's college days with covert Chi Psi luau missions organized by Brother Rob Ledoux '90 and Husky women's basketball road trips with the brothers. Jeff is thankful for his outstanding group of friends and is so grateful for the life and professional successes he has experienced thus far. "It was one of the easiest decisions I've made to support the campaign and give to the next generation of Chi Psi brothers for an updated Lodge," he said. Jeff hopes that all brothers set aside a contribution, no matter what size, to support the campaign as it will help future generations. "The campaign will help to keep Chi Psi on top at UW and in the country, and a new home is needed to keep recruiting top-notch young men." Jeff began his career serving as chief of staff for members of Congress and a United States senator. After 20 years, he decided to become a small business consultant, helping companies like the Boeing Company, T-Mobile, Regence Insurance, and Alaska Airlines advance their business goals. He spends his free time working on his golf swing, traveling once a year to join Chi Psi brothers in Vegas to see Def Leppard, and traveling with his wife, Christy. They met at the Lodge and have been together for 24 years. Jeff can be reached at jeff.bjornstad@washington2advocates.com.
