IMPACTFUL DISCUSSION Texas Alpha - Phi Kappa Psi e University of Texas Value "I was pulled aside 14 years ago by a Phi Psi four decades older than me and he sat me down and ex- plained the difference between investing in Phi Kappa Psi students vs. a local or nationally recognized charity. He pointed out many differences, but the theme was most charities oen do not solve problems, nor can we personally manage or witness the results. When you invest in Phi Psi, we expect, manage, and witness results each and every year. e value is in giving our undergraduate brothers the qualities they will need to be part of the solutions in America, not part of the problems. ey will be at the steering wheel of this country while our kids or grandkids are in school. is investment will allow many more to be taught the Creed, core values, man- ners, loyalty and many self imposed disciples needed to be effective in a career or relationship. We will give that to them in Chapter week-by-week. If we do not build a new chapter house, your tax dollars will eventually build a new University dorm, and our values will be lost. is Phi Kappa Psi building is our commitment to building men of honor and training a portion of the student body to commit to being ethical leaders that America needs now, not later." - Kelly Fish, '77 Heartfelt "We appreciated so much and enjoyed our past Chapter houses that were provided to us by alumni we probably never see nor met when we were 18, 19, 20. We were fortunate and enjoyed the fantastic gi of decent housing. at house came from numerous caring and special alumni. We had a place to hang out, party with ladies, shoot hoops outside, or just watch TV with our close brothers. But we lived in our chapter rent free, we called it rent, but the funds were used for food, utilities, repairs, and fun and over time we never funded replacing the structure for the next generation. Let's pay our rent now. And we need to thank our alumni then, by building a new house now so that others can receive the same gi we enjoyed. Let us join together and build this for a new generation. at is the spirit of the brotherhood we received." - Bryan Muecke, '75
