ByRichGreene rgreene@redbluffdailynews.com @richgreenenews on Twitter Fourth of July activities are scheduled from morning to dusk across Tehama County this Friday. The annual Los Molinos Independence Day Fourth of July Parade is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. This year's parade theme is "A Grand Old Flag." The parade up State Route 99E, a portion of which is closed for the parade, is sponsored by the VFW Post 3909 and the Los Molinos Chamber of Commerce. Following the parade will be the annual Los Molinos Play Day at the Park with events scheduled at Mill Creek Park. Los Molinos isn't the only community with a parade scheduled Friday. The Rancho Tehama Reserve will host its parade at 10 a.m. beginning at the Recreation Hall, 17605 Park Terrace. The parade will travel down Stagecoach Road to the corner of Rancho Tehama and Stagecoach roads. Following the parade a barbecue will be held at Fawn Meadow Park. The barbecue will have Mexican food, watermelon, a kiss booth, music, a jumping house, soap box derby and more. Then at dusk between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. fingers will be crossed that fireworks once again return to Tehama County. The Tehama County Fireworks Committee plans to hold its fireworks show from the Red Bluff Elks Lodge for the crowd gathering at River Park. People are encouraged to watch the show from Red Bluff River Park along the Sacramento River on Main Street. Alcohol will be permitted at the park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tehama County's last Fourth of July fireworks show as in 2011. After no one sponsored a show in 2012 the Fireworks Committee was founded by community volunteers. While funds were raised for a show last year, the fireworks were cancelled following two test shots that determined high winds in the area posed a threat to the public. "The court's (temporary restraining order) effectively defused what was a volatile situation and has allowed local and state law enforcement to reduce their presence at the Rolling Hills Casino," according to the state's request filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, Aweeklongstandoffthatstarted June 9 between armed "Tribal Police" hired by ousted members of the tribe and security guards hired by members of the tribe in control of the casino taxed the resources of the Tehama County Sheriff's Department and prompted Attorney General Kamala Harris to file a request for a restraining order to prevent an imminent threat to public health and safety. That request was granted June 18. The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians has been embroiled in a leadership dispute since April 12, when about 70 members of the tribe were suspended. Since then, two factions have emerged that claim to be the rightful members of the tribe's five-person Tribal Council, which governs the tribe. Both sides in the tribal dispute applauded the temporary restraining order when it was granted, and appeared to be headed toward mediation. Ousted members of the tribe, however, have since requested that gaming at the casino be shut down.
