premier edition Friday, June 3, 2011 – Daily News 1C Lincoln Street School Marlene & Janay Ortiz 5th Grade Students of Red Bluff High School Red Bluff High School We have a remarkable pair of sisters at Lincoln Street Independent School - amazing, delightful, inspirational, dedicated and persevering; these are just some words we would use to describe Marlene and Janay. Their parents chose homeschool so that as a family, they could spend more time together. Despite hardships due to family illness, both girls remain positive, thankful young people and outstanding students. Selected by teachers and administrators at the schools, you’ll read about 67 of Tehama Distinction County’s finest in these pages. All middle and high schools in the County were invited to submit student photos and details, in approximate relationship to the percentage of County students at each school. Not all schools responded, and unfortunately Los Molinos school district was informed late about the project, so only 4 students are represented from that District. Thanks to the local businesses who helped us sponsor this first-time effort at honoring Tehama County student excellence!
