A : It certainly might have seemed that way, given the long hiatus it took from the lineup and its summertime return ... but "Beauty" Kristin Kreuk and "Beast" Jay Ryan will get to carry their tortured on- screen love story forward, since the show has been renewed for a third season. It won't be a fall starter, but likely will be the first replacement for any hour that doesn't perform as well as The CW hopes. Q : Are there any plans to rerun "Crossing Jordan"? — Rose Odrosky, Clearfield, Pa. A : Not that we know of, at least at the time this is being written. However, title star Jill Hennessy is still in action, as proven by her return appearance last month on CBS' "The Good Wife." As for other "Jordan" alumni, Miguel Ferrer now is a regular on the same network's "NCIS: Los Angeles," and Kathryn Hahn appears to be busier than ever ... thanks to such TV work as NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and FX's "Chozen," and movies including the recent "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" and "Bad Words" and the upcoming "This Is Where I Leave You." Q : Will Michael J. Fox appear on "The Good Wife" again next season? — Joanne Parks, Columbus, Ohio A : We'd certainly bet very strongly on it, for a number of reasons. First, he loves doing the show, and its producers love having him — as they all reaffirmed in comments made recently, verified even more by the strong showing his character Louis Canning made in multiple episodes at the end of last season. Also, there's the matter of that ongoing story arc, which has Canning plotting an attempt to take over the Lockhart Gardner law firm. It's likely Fox would be brought back to wrap that up, at least. Q : It seemed like the finale of "Revolution" was ready to start a whole new chapter of the series. Why would NBC cancel it after it appeared to have been set up to continue that way? — Dave Lockhart, Baltimore A : Season finales frequently are filmed before a network makes its decisions on which shows will move forward ... though admittedly, NBC made early calls on such programs as "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago PD." Producers sometimes will build in that sort of cliffhanger in a bid to secure a renewal. When it doesn't work, fans are left hanging; that evidently is the case this time, since as of this writing, no other network has announced plans to continue "Revolution."
