Brief history: Defendant had broken into victim's res- idence and stole several fire- arms. Sentenced to 300 days county jail. People vs. Jennifer Rach- elle Hays, Bring Contraband into the Jail. Brief history: Defendant was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation. An officer located a methamphetamine pipe inside the vehicle and de- fendant was taken into cus- tody. While at the jail an of- ficer conducted a search of defendant and found her in possession of methamphet- amine. Sentenced to 270 days county jail. People vs. Sierra Marie Thompson, Possession of a Controlled Substance; Pos- session of a Controlled Sub- stance; Failure to Appear. Brief history: Officers con- ducted a search warrant at a residence and located the defendant inside the resi- dence along with metham- phetamine and marijuana. Officer contacted defendant and found her in possession of methamphetamine and a smoking pipe. Defendant was released from custody and failed to appear in court as ordered. Sentenced to 240 days county jail. People vs. Somngeune Michael Amphavannasouk, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Having a 0.08% or Higher Blood Alcohol With Prior Conviction. Brief history: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by defendant. Upon contacting the defen- dant the officer observed the odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. Defendant failed the field sobriety test and was taken into custody. During a search of defen- dant's person the officer lo- cated cocaine in his pocket. Sentenced to 180 days county jail. People vs. Elizabeth Ma- rie Onnen, Bring Contra- band into the Jail. Brief history: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by defendant. Upon contacting the defen- dant the officer observed the odor of marijuana and alco- hol. The officer conducted a search of the vehicle and lo- cated marijuana and hash. The defendant was arrested and taken into custody. While at the jail, an officer located methamphetamine on defendant's person. Sentenced to 180 days county jail. People vs. Jeremy Da- vid Mendez, Assault With a Deadly Weapon. Brief history: Defendant got into an argument with the two victims during which he grabbed a bread knife and swung it towards the vic- tims. One victim received an injury from the bread knife as a result of the altercation. Sentenced to 120 days county jail. People vs. Amanda Cas- tilione, Second Degree Com- mercial Burglary. Brief history: Defendant and a companion stole vic- tim's EBT card and made several unauthorized pur- chases while also forging checks belonging to the vic- tim. Sentenced to 90 days county jail. People vs. Nicholas Charles Doty, Vandalism Over $400 Damage. Brief history: Defendant was at the Red Bluff Police Department when he be- came upset and slammed a door and kicked a table caus- ing damage to both. Sentenced to 90 days county jail. Recent Proposition 36 Commitments: People vs. Leonard Allen Smith, Possession of a Con- trolled Substance with Spe- cial Allegation Prior Felony. Brief history: While con- ducting an investigation into an incident deputies searched defendant's car and located marijuana and methamphetamine. Defendant sentenced to Prop. 36 probation. Upcoming Court Dates -Trials, Preliminary Hearings (PX) & Pre Trial Conferences (PTC): People vs. Roger Sandy Bounnhaseng, Alan Duane Doulphus Jr., Chase Alan Doulphus: Murder, special allegation felony murder, personal and intentional, use of a firearm, assault with a firearm, false imprisonment by violence, transportation of marijuana. Brief history: The defen- dants went to a residence that contained a marijuana grow. The defendants con- fronted the victim and two other men who were at the residence and ordered them to the ground at gunpoint. The defendants proceeded to tie up the victim and the two men with zip ties and duct tape. The victim was able to free himself and at- tempt to flee the residence but was shot several times by the armed defendants. The victim eventually suc- cumbed to his injuries. De- fendant's vehicle was located a short time later and a vehi- cle pursuit followed. Defen- dant's were eventually ap- prehended and taken into custody. Inside the vehi- cle officers located a large amount of marijuana. Arraignment on Informa- tion: June 16, at 1:15 p.m. in Department 3. People vs. Brandon Eric- son Branscombe, Murder, Assault on a Child Causing Death. Brief history: The 8 month old victim died as a result of injuries sustained while in the custody and care of de- fendant. PTC: June 16, at 1:15 p.m. in Department 3. People vs. Christopher Hougland, Murder with Special Allegation Use of Deadly Weapon, Assault With a Deadly Weapon with Special Allegation —Great Bodily Injury. Brief history: Officers re- sponded to a residence re- garding a disturbance. Upon arrival officers located the victim who appeared to have several stab wounds and was bleeding profusely. The vic- tim eventually succumbed to his injuries and was pro- nounced dead at the scene. The defendant was arrested and taken into custody. PTC: June 27, at 11 a.m. in Department 2. TBJ: July 9, at 1:30 p.m. (Department to be deter- mined) People vs. Quentin Ray Bealer, Murder. Brief history: Defendant was arrested and charged with the murder of a 14 year old victim who had been re- ported missing when she never returned home from school. Officers located the victim's body two days later. Motions: July 7, at 8 a.m. in Department 3. People vs. Tyler Allen Burrone, Vehicular Man- slaughter, Involuntary Man- slaughter. Brief history: Defendant was driving his vehicle down the highway and failed to no- tice that the victim's vehi- cle had stopped in front of him and was attempting to make a left turn. Defendant rear ended the victim's vehi- cle and forced it into the path of an oncoming semi truck. The five year old victim in- side the vehicle received fa- tal injuries as a result of the crash and the child's mother was seriously injured. Setting: Aug. 6, at 9 a.m. in Department 4.
