Alumnae News Detta rohn Carlson '35 had a luncheon with some Gamma Phi alumnae on December 12, 2013. "It was a great group!" Detta is 96 years old and lives in Sun City, Ariz. Phyllis Hastert Hatt '44 volunteers in health services and enjoys spending time with her big family in Lincoln, Neb. She has 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren— the oldest being nine years old. "I love going to weddings and baptisms!" she said. She had a great boat trip in the Caribbean in November with her daughter, Susan, and two grandsons. She is staying healthy and works out three times a week in Lincoln, Neb. Carol Bieck Bogardus, M.D. '62 spends much of the winter in Palm Desert, Calif., at Desert Falls Country Club and the rest of the year in Portland, Ore. Margaret Nutzman Brown '64 lives in Kearney, Neb., and stays in touch with many of her Gamma Phi Beta sisters. "GFB is truly an experience of a lifetime," she said. She retired in 2010 after 41 years in the financial industry and now spends about 10 hours a week at White House Black Market helping their clients feel beautiful. They took the grand world cruise from January to May Alumnae Update and the grand Asia cruise from September to December. Garrie reports that she is getting better at tai chi and trying to learn duplicate bridge. After working as a mental health practitioner in Lincoln for four and a half years, she entered the Ph.D. program for counseling psychology in August 2013.
