THE COUNSELOR "A Membership for a Lifetime" ALABAMA CHAPTER OF DELTA CHI AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA – SPRING 2014 Published by the Alumni Board of Trustees and the House Corporation – Volume 17, Issue 1 W e are nearing our goal of $1 million for the expansion and renovation of the Chapter house thanks to the support from alumni, initiated brothers, undergraduates, family and friends of Al- abama Chapter. Although we have been successful in our endeavors so far, we are still $50,000 away from reaching our goal. With your help, I know that we can surpass our goal. No gift is too small. Each dollar moves us closer to ensuring a bright future at the University of Alabama. Renovations Enhance Chapter Quality As you can see, the new space and the renovations to the existing space are almost finished. The house will be ready for occupancy in August, just in time for recruitment. The bed count will in- crease to 34, new flooring will be updated in existing bedrooms, and the new dining room will seat 110. The existing main floor living areas will be renovated, there will be a new fellowship hall, and the new courtyard will have new sod, hardscape, and covered walkway. Brothers will be able to develop stronger bonds through fellowship in these updated areas of the house. The expansion and renovations will help us generate positive energy throughout the Chapter, attract quality members, and continue the Delta Chi legacy at the University of Alabama.
