E TTEV ILL E , www.cityoffayetteville.org Tornado Recovery continued City Environmental Services, Engineering & Infrastructure and Parks & Recreation crews had an initial debris push on all city roads where the devastation occurred within 28 hours of the tornado  The City Fire and Police Departments along with State Regional Task Force crews went door-to-door through neighborhoods Sunday, April 17 to complete a secondary search for citizens who may  the tornado incident completed a primary and secondary search of all damaged structures within 36 hours of the tornado incident. Police setup command posts to maintain order in the affected areas. Transit buses transported victims to shelters and the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center. Those affected by the storm can also call the Governor’s Information Hotline from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1-888-835-9966. Hotline operators will answer questions from the public related to recovery issues, individual assistance needs, donations and volunteering. E-Waste Recycling continued  basis, while supplies last. The Earth Machine is a user friendly compost machine, which allows residents to easily compost food scraps and turn them into a useful soil amendment. Rain barrels help reduce the expense of outdoor watering, as they allow you to harvest and store  A drip hose can be attached to make watering your plants low cost and low input.
