Though he didn't appear in every episode, Curtis was in the cast of the 1978-81 ABC detective show "Vega$," playing a casino magnate who retained private eye Dan Tanna (Robert Urich). Throughout the remainder of his career, Curtis did guest shots on such shows as "The Fall Guy," "Roseanne," and "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Su- perman." Q : I enjoyed the recent PBS documentary about the Dave Clark Five, and I was interested by the mention of the pop music series "Ready Steady Go!" Has that ever been shown in Ameri- ca? — Doug Marsh, Baltimore A : Yes, but only for a brief time. Clark bought the rights to the tapes that existed of the classic British show that featured many of the top performers of the mid-1960s — including, as might be expected, the Dave Clark Five — and for a time, Disney Channel was one of the takers.
