Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested A bdiel Ridgely Albaugh III '72 of Owings, Maryland, died tragically in a house fire on December 25, 2013. Ridge was born in Washington, D.C., on December 31, 1949, and grew up in Warrenton, Virginia, where he attended Fauquier High School. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, he worked for Pool Service Company in Arlington, Virginia. In 1980, he and Pattie Sue Reidelbach were married in Franconia, Virginia, and had one son, Hunter. Ridge's career advanced to underwater search and recovery with several companies, including Steadfast Marine, Oceaneering International, Inc. and Phoenix International. Recently, he was an independent contractor specializing in geological and pipeline surveys. Ridge was a member of the Westbrook Hunt Club in Virginia. He was a history buff, especially of the American Civil War, and a big fan of Robert E. Lee. He enjoyed researching genealogy, hunting, fishing, and the Washington Redskins. Ridge is survived by his son, Hunter R. Albaugh, and former wife, Pattie Sue Albaugh, both of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, and his brother, Lance Albaugh, and sister, Shari Albaugh, both of Warrenton, Virginia. Alumni Update Chapter eternal_______________ Francis K. Williams '50 entered Chapter Eternal on July 17, 2013. Smokey was always proud to be a University of Virginia graduate and a member of Sigma Chi. He was 90 years old and is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and his three children. John L. Melnick '58 entered Chapter Eternal on August 21, 2013. He was a leader in his community, president of the Arlington County Bar Association, and served on the Virginia State Crime Commission and the Drug Task Force of Arlington. Bryan W. Heath '94 entered Chapter Eternal on August 4, 2013, at his home in Birmingham, Alabama. Bryan was a graduate of East Forsyth High School and the University of Virginia where he was a four-year letterman for the Virginia Cavaliers football team. Bryan was devoted to his family and friends, especially his two children, whom he loved dearly. alumni news__________________ James C. Mackay '54 has four children who are U.Va. graduates and one who is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. He has five grandchildren and the oldest has also been accepted at U.Va. Jim is semi-retired as the president/co-founder of Nortnmac-Comfort Inn/Super 8. He and his wife, Cynthia Sue, live in Newburyport, Massachusetts. E-mail: wetbrick@aol.com F. Patrick Dillon '59 was recently told by his doctor to "go out and make good memories!" That is just what he and his wife, Vicki, are doing, both within the U.S. and overseas. The couple also enjoys spending time with their children and grandchildren. E-mail: patdill2@cox.net Richard L. Davis '69 retired from his position as National Finance Manager after 37 years working at the Sears Holding Corporation. He and his wife, Dru, moved to Spring, Texas, after spending 24 years in Chicago. His son, Andrew, is an Assistant dean and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Houston.
