the Red dooR place within Chapter operations and look forward to their new member retreat that will take place later this semester. Chapter Excels during Greek Week Greek Week was a success this year, and we were paired with one of our favorite sororities on campus—Alpha Chi Omega. Two of our new members represented us well before the Greek community in the annual Greek Sing competition, a hilarious contest that showcases our partner sorority's best dance moves. We further excelled in the various sporting events throughout the week with brothers represented at the bowling competition at Bama Lanes and basketball at the Kappa Alpha house. Leadership Grows at SigEp The Carlson Leadership Academy in Atlanta presented a great opportunity earlier this semester for the new executive board to set goals and to network with brothers from across the Southeast. This intensive three-day workshop helped establish new ideas and leadership skills that we have since implemented into chapter operations. Alabama Beta Receives Highest Honor The highlight of our semester was the Greek Excellence Banquet, which pits all Greek organizations against one another to compete for top honors. Alabama Beta received awards for academics, philanthropy, chapter programming, and risk management. We were also greatly excited to be named the most outstanding IFC chapter, as well as recipients of the Robert E. Witt Cup for Outstanding Performance—the highest award given to the most outstanding Chapter among Alabama's Greek organizations. prEEminEnt FratErnity (Continued from page 1) John Wilson '17, Scott Leary '15, Jeffrey Collins '15, and Chris Fiebig '17 at the Carlson Leadership Academy. Actives Host Alumni Golf Tournament The alumni golf tournament held on March 15 was a huge success with close to 20 alumni in attendance, as well as nearly 30 undergraduates. The undergraduates thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to meet and visit with alumni, especially hearing tales from years past. We sincerely thank each of you who was able to attend and hope that you will join us for future events. And as always, feel free to stop by the house whenever you're in the area. Our door is always open. Fraternally, Jeffrey Collins '15 Chapter President (601) 517-1737 jscollins1@crimson.ua.edu sigep Wins big at greek Awards Congratulations, Alabama Beta!
