Theta Iota is deeply saddened by the passing of Carly Marie Gassman '13 on March 14, 2014. Carly, from Abilene, Kansas, was a freshman majoring in pre-nursing and was a devoted Tri Delta sister whose courage in her fight against brain cancer inspired all who knew her. Despite dealing with medical treatments and their side effects, Carly earned a 4.0 GPA for the fall semester, contributing to the chapter's accom- plishment of surpassing its academic goal. She also served as an officer and was a participant or supporter in attendance at most chapter activities. Carly's love for Tri Delta was true. Her sisters felt her love, and in the short eight months of her membership, she impacted each of their lives by demonstrating the ideals of truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship. Theta Iota was proud and blessed to count her among its members. Carly is survived by her parents, Susie and Randy Gassman, sister, Olivia, and brother, Elliot, all of Abilene. She will be remembered in the hearts of many. In the words of a Theta Iota sister, "Once you meet a person like Carly who is truly an inspiration and shows you what love and strength look like, you never forget. You just try to live your life as well as she did." Well, pull them out of your scrapbooks and scan them, as we are looking to trace our history through photos. Linda Lane Coskun '82 has graciously volunteered to assemble the photos, so here is what you need to do: 1. E-MAIL Linda a preliminary e-mail at dddksureunionpics@gmail.com stating you will be sending some photos (please no photos on the first e-mail). 2. SCAN your photo at 1,200 resolution (preferably at least 1-2 MB, but not exceeding 5 MB per picture). 3. TAG as many names in the photo as possible (or write names in the body of the e-mail). 4. NAME PHOTO based on event with year: i.e. 1983 Initiation or 1984 Christmas Party. 5. E-MAIL PHOTOS to dddksureunionpics@gmail.com (e-mail photos separately if possible; Gmail accounts accept up to 25 MB per e-mail). It's that simple! Keep your eyes out for a new monthly reunion newsletter, which will be e-mailed to members with the latest reunion news and updates.
