THE BAR METHOD The Bar Method, perhaps the longest-run- ning of the barre-based fitness routines, has gleaned national publicity for its effective ex- ercises that promise "Long firm thighs. Developed by Marinite, Burr Leonard, the Bar Method has its roots in the Lotte Berk method, a combination of ballet and therapeutic exercise which Leonard began studying 33 years ago.
