TRI DELTA DISPATCH 2 THANK YOU FOR INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION OF THETA OMEGAS conference held at KU since the fall 2013 semester began. These have included KUnity, LeaderShape, KU Allyship Training, and the annual Gender Leadership Conference. COMING UP In the months of April and May Theta Omega has big plans! The sophomore and junior pledge classes are starting a spring competition called "assassins" where we will have targets that we will "knock out" of the competition with water guns. Don't worry, alumnae —we aren't playing inside the Chapter House! In addition, we have Pledge Mom Appreciation Week, Paddle Paddle, spring formal, Mom's Day, and Pansy Breakfast all lined up. It will be a busy, beautiful time for many memories to be made. When Amie Kruse Long '95 sent her tax-deductible donation to the Theta Omega Educational Foundation, she added this note: "Thanks for all the work you do for the Educational Foundation. I'm still grateful for the financial assistance I received." Because of your generosity, Amie and 65 others have received scholarships since 1994. Every year, the Educational Foundation is proud to announce its scholarship winners at the spring Pansy Breakfast, our brunch honoring the graduating seniors. We have something exciting to announce before this year's Pansy Breakfast: we met our fundraising goal, and the Educational Foundation will be able to fund an additional scholarship winner next year! Sarah Ida Shaw believed Tri Delta's purpose was, in part, to "assist its members in every possible way." Thank you for assisting in this effort by investing in the next generation of Theta Omegas. Alumnae donations of more than $5,000 in the past couple of months helped build the fund's principal, which will earn more interest for our scholarships.
