Beta theta Pi 175th General Convention Oxford, Ohio August 7-10 (This is when the chapter will apply for the Beta charter.) our Mystic Shrine Kenneth e. Larzelere '49 passed on to Our Mystic Shrine November 21, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He met his wife, Joan, while attending Michigan State. They married in 1948 and were together for 63 years. He was employed as a psychologist at Jackson Prison, then at GMI (Kettering University) as a professor in the humanities. He was a resident of Flint, Mich. Laurence h. Pate '50 passed on to Our Mystic Shrine October 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Jo; children: Steven, Michael, and Judi; and two grandsons, Jim and Andrew. "The Beta alumni, whom we have known since college days, have been very supportive of me—old friends like ralph Lee '50, Louis Legg '50, and Bob Klein '51. Larry was proud of his Beta friends, and would have been pleased that the association is once again on campus," said his wife, Jo. Dean r. taylor mD '59 passed on to Our Mystic Shrine November 19, 2011. He was a resident of Glyndon, Md., where he worked as a cardiologist. His is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn, children: Susan, Dean, and Bruce, and nine grandchildren. Alumni News William Bromley '56 remembers joining Beta Theta Pi with his roommate russ Palmer '56, and the two have been friends ever since. He left Michigan State to enter medical school in 1955 and earned his medical degree in 1959. He retired from his private practice in ophthalmology in 1997. He and his wife, Julie, live in Ellsworth, Maine, and enjoy spending time with their four children, 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
