YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE A LASTING IMPACT L ike so many Theta Thetas who came before us, you have the opportunity to make a major impact on the future of the fraternity. Only you can place value on your Sigma Chi days at Michigan, the place to call home on the Michigan campus, the lifelong friendships you made, and the development of your values and principles. Your participation is vital to ensuring the next generation of young men at Michigan have the same experience and opportunities you had. Join Us in Thinking Big This campaign is tasked with not only completing the renovations, but also eliminating the debt and proactively planning for the future financial independence of the chapter. Because of the magnitude of our objectives, we are urging all alumni to consider a significant contribution to the campaign. In order for each alumnus to maximize his participation, gifts can be structured over a five-year pledge period. Non-Tax-Deductible Gifts Needed The majority of square feet being addressed through these plans is deemed non-educational per the IRS. This means there is a need for non-tax-deductible gifts to complete the project as envisioned. Gifts to the campaign will be directed to the Ann Arbor Sigma Chi House Corporation. Recognizing Loyal Theta Thetas Special naming opportunities will be offered to alumni considering gifts of $100,000 and above. All donors contributing $5,000 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque in the renovated chapter house. All donors contributing $2,500 or more over the five-year pledge period will be recognized in campaign publications. Gifts in honor or in memory of brothers, as well as family and pledge class gifts, are welcomed. Recognition in such cases will be given to both the donor and the honoree. Importantly, all phase I donors will be honored with a separate and new plaque in the newly renovated Theta Theta living room recognizing them for their early leadership. Not only did it bring back years of memories from my undergrad days at 548 South State Street, but it made me realize the opportunities for leadership and memories to be created that all of the undergraduates have before them. The current group of Theta Theta Sigs has embraced this opportunity and is once again flourishing!" "Today my closest friends were members of my 1956 Sigma Chi pledge class in Ann Arbor. Together we learned the importance of friendship and relationships. The privilege of leading my peers as Consul taught me a way to lead by building relationships between individuals and among all the fraternity members. The energy created by fostering this positive interaction earned respect from everyone in our chapter. This effective method of leading has been my chosen style ever since."
