e at Delta Kappa have come a long way! I hope you are as thrilled
as I am with our beautiful new house that is now fully occupied by
an outstanding group of Delta Kappa undergraduates. Not so many years
ago, we gathered on game days at a rental house across from the Gamma
Phi house. Thanks to the generosity of many of the alumni we now have
an outstanding house to go with our outstanding membership.
Delta Kappa is doing great and has won the national True Merit award
each of the last two years. To my knowledge
this has never been done
in the history of Delta Kappa. Our members are working hard to assume
leadership positions on campus.
Where does the campaign stand? We have raised a total of $2,828,232
toward our goal of $3,000,000. However, our goal goes well beyond the
campaign for the new house. We want to have a sustaining campaign to
provide scholarships and a solid financial base for Delta Kappa for any
future contingencies.
The bottom line is this: the campaign continues and we need your help. The
$2.8 million has come from generous gifts from 232 of our 1,142 alumni,
which comes to a 19% participation rate. We really need all of our alumni
to get on board. If you have not contributed please do so immediately. For
those of you who have given, if you can add to your gift or extend it for
another year please fill out the enclosed card and indicate that.
In addition, we have pavestones available that can be purchased and
used
to permanently note your name or the name of a brother that you would like
to recognize. Ordering details can be found on page 4.
I look forward to seeing you at the spring football game, April 12, and
again I appreciate everyone's ongoing support and enthusiasm.
Love & Respect,
