lease keep in mind that the Alumni Volunteer
Corporation is always looking for new
members. Whether to contribute for a special
project or to catch up with the happenings of the
Chapter, we invite any alumnus, parent, or friend
to come visit us at one our regular AVC meetings
and get involved in any capacity.
President
Gert Van Moorsel '82

Gert is an architect and has been
actively involved with the AVC
board for almost 10 years. As
vice president of housing, he
helped complete a major house
renovation project in 2009 and then became
the committee chairman for the Bonds of
Brotherhood: The Campaign for Colorado Alpha.
He has been president of the AVC since 2012.

John Delva '10

John completed his law degree
at the University of Colorado
and has been an active member
of the board since 2011. As
vice president, John has been a
valuable member, providing guidance and advice
through his knowledge of the Chapter bylaws and
operations.
Treasurer
Kyle Delapp '10

Kyle graduated from CU with a
business administration degree
in 2010 and became the AVC
treasurer not long afterward.
From setting up charge and
banking accounts to providing budgeting advice
and paying the bills, Kyle has proven to be a
valuable member of the AVC.

Steve is president of his own real
estate and management company
in Boulder, which he started
more than 25 years ago. His
passion and interest in Colorado
Alpha are evident in the fact that he has probably
only missed two or three meetings during his
tenure as secretary.
Scholarship Chairman
Justyn Vander-Heyden '09

Justyn got involved with the
AVC when he came to CU
from the Colorado School of
Mines in 2012. As scholarship
chairman, Justyn is responsible
for the administration of at least three
scholarship programs funded by the board: the
Colorado Alpha Leadership Grant, Balanced
Man Scholarship, and Pericles Award.
Housing Chairman
Allen Robie '81

Allen is a construction project
manager and owns and operates
a home inspection company
based in the Boulder area.
Although having previously
volunteered with the Chapter, he became
involved again when the housing committee
needed a due diligence assessment for a property
adjacent to the Chapter House.

Mike received his degree in
integrative physiology from
CU and joined the AVC soon
afterward. Mike has organized
the last two Bootlegger Balls and provides
support and leadership for the newsletter and
alumni website.

Rosemarie DelMonte

This is Rosemarie's second term
on the AVC as her second son is
now an undergraduate member
of the Chapter. Rosemarie is an
experienced attorney and recently launched her
own firm. Her insights and recommendations
as both a parent and an attorney are invaluable
assets to the corporation.
